Rare and fine ladies Movado sterling purse watch, circa 1926-1927. Rare pink stingray cover, manual wind Movado 17 jewel movement. Silver-tone dial, Arabic numerals and Dalphine hands. Movado was started by the L.A.I. Ditesheim & Freres and later adopted the name Movado in 1905. This model was originally called the "Ermeto" and the case was designed to protect the watch while inside of a ladies purse. These Movado "Ermeto" purse watches are extremely hard to find in this condition, especially ones that still have their covers, whether they be in stingray, leather, etc. Warranty: This watch is warranted by Princeton Watches to be free of mechanical defects for a period of six months from date of purchase.
